Despicable Me 5 is the upcoming fifth installment in the Despicable Me film series and the seventh overall in the Despicable Me franchise following Despicable Me 4 (2024), it is also the third film in the Fixies film series following Fixies vs. Crabots (2019). The film's release date is currently set for June 5, 2027.

Gru (Carell), the world’s favorite supervillain-turned-Anti-Villain League-agent and is back for even more Minions mayhem, alongside his wife and fellow Anti-Villain League-agent Lucy (Wiig), and their four kids Margo (Cosgrove), Edith (Gaier), Agnes (Polan), and Gru Jr. (TBA), they are going to save the world from an all new threat. When an evil mad scientist named Dr. Rick Calamitorius (Simmons) and his evil gang of crooks, consisting of his son Domsom (Stepanek) and their anthropomorphic desk lamp soldier Sir Lampston finally come up with a way to make weapons as well as inferior versions of appliances and electronic devices, by enslaving the Fixies, who are tiny human-like creatures that live in appliances and machines and repair them. They’ll need the help of Professor Eugenius, (Swidley), his assistant Elisa, (Stevens), his wife Erica, (Gonglewski), their friends Tom Thomas, (Snyder), Katya (Wood) as well as their Fixie friends Simka, (McKey) Nolik, (Timms), and Grandpus, (Mennies) and their allies the Crabots. Together, with their new friends. They will stop Dr. Rick Calamitorius from putting his plan into action.
