Felonious Gru is the main protagonist of the Despicable Me franchise, a cameo character in Minions and the titular protagonist of Minions: The Rise of Gru. He's a grumpy and cynical former supervillain, spy of the Anti-Villains League, the leader of the Minions, the father of Agnes, Margo and Edith, the wife of Lucy Wilde and the Leader of the Illumination Heroes.
He is voiced by Steve Carell.
